Job Description Summary

The Data Science Intern will work in a team to research, develop, and implement AI-based solutions across various disciplines at GE Aerospace under the guidance of senior team members. As part of the Data Science & AI team, the candidate will contribute to developing and deploying modern machine learning, AI, statistical and probabilistic methods, operations research, semantic analysis, and more to find structure in data sets within the Corporate Functions of GE Aerospace.

Site Overview

Established in 2000, the John F. Welch Technology Center (JFWTC) in Bengaluru is our multidisciplinary research and engineering center. Engineers and scientists at JFWTC have contributed to hundreds of aviation patents, pioneering breakthroughs in engine technologies, advanced materials, and additive manufacturing.

Essential Responsibilities

• Be part of a development team working on Data Science technologies (GenAI, Python, cloud platforms, statistics, machine learning, deep learning).
• Work closely with an identified mentor on allocated projects. Analyze, design, test, and integrate components that meet business standards and program/product requirements.
• Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with organization policies and procedures.
• Prepare and present technical data and communicate the results of technical data generated.

This internship opening is to enable students to work on exploratory projects in Data Science and contribute to digital solutions based on identified problems.

Qualifications/Requirements

• Students of B.Tech (3rd or 4th year) or M.Tech (1st or 2nd year) from reputed institutes.
• Candidate must be from CS/IT stream with Data Science or AI specialization (preferred).
• Eligibility criteria: 7 CGPA / 70% and above, with no active backlogs.
• NOC from college authorities must be submitted before offer issuance.
