Overview
Assistant Project Manager
This position focuses on planning, organizing, and coordinating resources to ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in line with defined quality standards. The role works closely with architects, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure construction activities follow approved plans and specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Track progress of work against the master project schedule.
- Monitor on-site execution to ensure alignment with drawings and technical specifications.
- Send timely reminders to contractors regarding schedule delays and required corrective actions.
- Review and ensure the practicality and compliance of work statements and methodologies submitted by contractors.
- Maintain documentation for all assigned site activities and work items.
- Identify potential bottlenecks early, report critical and super critical activities, and support measures to avoid delays.
- Advise contractors on improving productivity using work study techniques.
- Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and labor against project timelines and recommend improvements when necessary.
- Support contract administration and assist in resolving disputes during the contract period.
- Assist QA/QC teams in ensuring all quality standards and parameters are met.
- Work with the safety team to implement site safety standards and support job safety analysis.
- Escalate abnormal developments related to progress, safety, quality, or resources to the Project Manager.
- Clarify project specifications and maintain coordination with the responsible Project Manager.
- Monitor construction activities, schedules, milestones, and budgets while initiating actions to reduce non-conformance costs.
- Propose cost saving measures and participate in contractor change order negotiations.
- Support the project risk management process.
- Assist in implementing system requirements during installation and testing phases until final project handover.
- Ensure project construction and safety management plans are effectively implemented.
Candidate Profile
- B.E. in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, or a degree in Architecture with experience in building projects.
- Understanding of civil, electro-mechanical, and architectural works.
- Strong attention to detail and observation capabilities.
- Good organizational and coordination abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
