Job Description

Cornerstone is hiring a passionate and detail-oriented Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) Intern for its Pune office. This entry-level internship is ideal for freshers or candidates with up to 6 months of experience in manual and automation testing. The intern will be responsible for writing, maintaining, and executing test scripts for web applications and APIs, primarily using C#, Selenium, and SQL. Familiarity with cloud technologies, especially AWS, is an added advantage.

You’ll be joining a dynamic team where innovation meets practical application. You’ll be actively involved in CI/CD pipeline integration, frontend (React) and backend (API) testing, and exploration of AI tools and technologies in quality engineering.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Execute test cases and validate application functionalities
• Document, track, and report software defects
• Create and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium-based frameworks
• Write test automation in C# for functional and regression testing
• Perform backend testing using SQL for data validation
• Conduct UI and API automation testing for React applications and microservices
• Contribute to CI/CD process by integrating automation tests
• Collaborate with developers and QA engineers in agile teams
• Participate in sprint planning, technical reviews, and test plan creation
• Explore AI-based testing tools and assist in implementation
• Leverage knowledge of AWS for testing cloud-hosted applications

Candidate Profile

We are looking for motivated individuals who:

• Hold or are pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Have 0-6 months of experience in automation testing using C# and Selenium
• Are strong in Object-Oriented Programming (OOPs) and understand design principles such as SOLID, KISS
• Are familiar with RESTful services and microservices architecture
• Have working knowledge of relational databases like Microsoft SQL Server or MySQL
• Exposure to NoSQL databases like DynamoDB is a plus
• Have experience or exposure to cloud platforms like AWS
• Possess basic understanding of frontend frameworks such as React
• Are familiar with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Demonstrate excellent analytical and communication skills
• Are eager to learn and stay updated with emerging technologies in QA and AI
