Job Overview
IQVIA is seeking a skilled Clinical Data Specialist to join our team in Kochi, India. This role involves providing both basic and advanced data management expertise to the Clinical Data Management (CDM) team, ensuring delivery of high-quality data management solutions that meet client needs. The position offers opportunities for leadership under the guidance of senior data management professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Data Operations Coordinator (DOC) for one protocol with fewer than five operations staff or for 15+ moderately complex central laboratory studies.
- Lead specific data management tasks such as coding, testing, or database design, with guidance.
- Serve as backup to a DOC or Data Team Lead (DTL).
- Conduct data reviews and resolve data clarifications.
- Lead database audit teams.
- Develop and test databases and edit specifications.
- Perform programming tests and clinical data coding.
- Ensure compliance with core operating procedures and work instructions.
- Maintain effective communication and collaboration within the CDM team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in clinical, biological, or mathematical sciences, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Exposure to medical terminology.
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications relevant to data management.
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently with initiative.
- Proven ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and clients.
