Citi’s Summer Technology Analyst Program brings together students interested in technology and financial services. The program places participants in Citi Technology teams that support the firm’s platforms and digital infrastructure used by clients globally. Technologists at Citi work across a wide range of systems and help build scalable, high performance enterprise platforms that support the company’s strategic priorities.
With a global technology workforce of more than 30,000 professionals, Citi focuses on innovation, automation, and reliable systems that deliver a strong client experience. Participants in the program contribute to technology initiatives while learning how large scale financial systems are designed and maintained.
Summer Analysts work in an agile development environment to build scalable software solutions using modern technologies. Based on business needs, you will write and maintain code aligned with quality standards, assist during testing cycles, and support post deployment activities.
You will also use appropriate tools to test and debug code, take part in peer code reviews, and collaborate with other engineers. New analysts join alongside a cohort of peers and receive training on company processes, development tools, and technical practices used across Citi.
Depending on team placement, developers may gain experience in areas such as:
Participants may also work with modern engineering practices and architecture patterns including microservices, APIs, REST services, and Spring frameworks.
Interns collaborate on globally scoped projects with cross functional teams and gain insight into how technology supports the financial sector. The program provides structured learning, networking opportunities, and mentorship designed to strengthen both technical and professional capabilities.
Summer Analysts start in early June with training on the analyst role and Citi’s technology environment. The program includes on the desk learning, speaker sessions, and networking events. Many interns return to Citi after graduation as full time Technology Analysts.
