Program Overview
At Citi, technology teams work to drive change and support global clients through innovative platforms and scalable systems. With more than 30,000 technologists worldwide, the organization focuses on building secure, high performance enterprise systems while maintaining a diverse and ethical workforce.
The Global Technology Analyst Program is a structured two year rotational journey designed to accelerate early career development in technology. The program begins in July and provides exposure to multiple teams, helping participants build a broad technical skill set while contributing to real projects.
Role Responsibilities
You will work in an agile software development environment to design and deliver scalable software solutions using modern technologies. Based on business requirements, you will write code that follows established quality standards and assist during testing cycles and post production deployments.
Responsibilities also include testing and debugging code using appropriate tools, participating in peer code reviews, and supporting the delivery of reliable software solutions. New hires join as part of a cohort and complete training that introduces Citi’s tools, development processes, and technical practices.
Technology Exposure
Depending on team placement, developers may gain exposure to several technology stacks and development practices, including:
- Microservices Development: Java, Spring Framework, Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
- iOS Development: Swift, Xcode, MVC architecture.
- Android Development: Java, Android Studio, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX, Java Web Services.
- Web Development: Angular (latest version), Eclipse, Java, JSP, TypeScript, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, AJAX.
Engineering Practices and Tools
- Engineering excellence standards including development and operational best practices.
- Modern design and architecture patterns such as microservices, APIs, Spring Core, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, and REST based services.
- CI/CD pipelines and development tools including JIRA, Zephyr, BitBucket, TeamCity, uDeploy, Artifactory, and OpenShift with ECS or Docker.
- Event streaming and messaging systems such as Kafka or similar technologies.
- Container based environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
The program provides opportunities to collaborate with experienced engineers, gain exposure to enterprise systems, and contribute to technology initiatives that support Citi’s global operations.
