Role Summary

Citi is looking for a motivated Junior Developer with a solid base in Python programming and an interest in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning. The role involves building and deploying AI and ML models, developing prototypes, and using Large Language Models (LLMs) to address complex business challenges.

The selected candidate will work with modern technologies and collaborate with experienced engineers and data scientists to deliver practical AI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning and AI models including solutions for Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Optical Character Recognition (OCR).
• Develop rapid prototypes to demonstrate feasibility of AI and ML driven solutions.
• Work with diverse data sources to clean, preprocess, and prepare datasets for model training.
• Collaborate with developers and data scientists to integrate AI and ML capabilities into existing and new applications.
• Use Large Language Model APIs effectively by creating accurate and efficient prompts.
• Take part in code reviews to maintain quality, performance, and coding standards.
• Create unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and stability of code.
• Stay updated with advancements in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and related technologies.
• Document development workflows, model designs, and deployment procedures.

Required Skills

• Python: Strong proficiency in Python programming.
• Machine Learning and AI: Understanding of core machine learning concepts, algorithms, and techniques.
• Model Development: Experience training, developing, and evaluating ML models.
• Model Deployment: Ability to deploy machine learning models in production environments.
• NLP and OCR: Practical knowledge of Natural Language Processing and Optical Character Recognition techniques.
• Large Language Models: Familiarity with LLM concepts and working with LLM APIs.
• Prompt Engineering: Ability to create clear and effective prompts for LLM based systems.
• RAG: Awareness of Retrieval Augmented Generation principles.
• Testing: Experience writing unit and integration tests.
• DevOps Fundamentals: Awareness of containerization and CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or GitHub Actions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, or a related technical discipline.
• Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud for AI and ML deployments.
• Experience using version control systems such as Git.
• Knowledge of frameworks like LangChain or LangGraph is a plus.
