Overview
The Project Analyst 2 position is an entry-level professional role responsible for applying domain knowledge to monitor, assess, analyze, and evaluate processes and data. The role involves identifying policy gaps, interpreting information, and recommending improvements to processes or procedures. The analyst contributes to the team’s objectives while building knowledge of industry practices and standards.
This position focuses on analyzing operational and technical processes, supporting project delivery, and maintaining project documentation. The impact is primarily within the team and is reflected through the quality and accuracy of the work delivered.
Responsibilities
- Collect and organize data required to develop project plans, including work breakdown structures and schedules.
- Gather project performance information to help monitor issues and track their resolution.
- Track the progress of project deliverables and document approved changes.
- Maintain and update project documentation such as project charters, communication plans, and risk management plans.
- Prepare variance reports comparing project estimates with actual results.
- Support analysis of project budget data and generate reports that help monitor project costs.
- Evaluate risks when making business decisions while ensuring compliance with regulations, internal policies, and ethical standards.
- Assist project leads and stakeholders by developing and maintaining project plans for large cross functional or regional initiatives.
- Maintain communication with stakeholders, escalating risks or issues when necessary.
- Support Product Leads or Project Managers on large scale or global initiatives by applying knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Work with operational and technical teams to translate business requirements into operational processes and recommend improvements.
- Use internet and technology resources to assess how technology changes affect operational procedures and client delivery.
- Analyze current and proposed business and technology processes.
- Participate in UAT scenario walkthroughs and script reviews, identify gaps, and ensure they are addressed before UAT begins.
- Monitor UAT planning, execution, defects, and resolution activities.
- Coordinate documentation and testing walkthroughs with cross functional teams, tracking questions and issues until resolution prior to PVT.
- Document findings and recommend potential technology enhancements or process changes.
- Support UAT and operations readiness activities.
- Create user manuals, training guides, and deliver training where needed.
- Participate in strategy discussions, planning sessions, and meetings with senior management.
- Manage interdependencies to support successful delivery across multiple projects.
- Operate in a fast paced environment while managing multiple project tracks with changing scope and priorities.
- Work in deadline driven environments to meet product or service release timelines.
- Monitor customer issues and contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with release management activities and support the SDLC process throughout production phases.
- Ensure operational gaps or workarounds are tracked and resolved through process improvements or technology enhancements.
Qualifications
- 0 to 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong working knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
- Good written, verbal, and presentation communication abilities.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Experience in process automation is considered an advantage.
