Role Overview
This Sales Support Specialist role is a developing professional position focused on monitoring, assessing, analyzing, and evaluating processes and data. The position supports the sales force with an emphasis on improving client experience and sales efficiency while working with clients, internal stakeholders, and control groups.
The role requires technical product knowledge and understanding of end-to-end infrastructure. The individual will apply evaluative judgment based on factual information and prior experience while supporting business operations.
Responsibilities
- Support salespeople, client executives, and clients across the client and sales lifecycle.
- Coordinate internally and assist in preparing materials before client meetings, including presentations and marketing documents.
- Provide support during client meetings and document call reports in internal systems.
- Track and help execute follow-up actions from internal and client meetings.
- Assist in the execution of client strategies and sales initiatives, including maintaining related reports.
- Maintain accurate CRM and internal system records in partnership with sales teams.
- Partner closely with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Audit, and Finance teams to support governance and controls.
- Promote responsible finance practices, governance standards, supervision, and ethical conduct.
- Assess transaction risk and reward while considering the firm's reputation and regulatory requirements.
- Follow Citi’s Code of Conduct and supervision guidelines.
- Support onboarding activities through coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Provide pre-trade support related to KYC, legal onboarding, regulatory requirements, tax, and credit setup.
- Assist with RFP, RFQ, and RFI requests.
- Act as a point of contact for escalations including settlement issues, margin disputes, and data discrepancies.
- Identify process improvements through root cause analysis for onboarding and trade execution activities.
- Support automation and re-engineering initiatives to improve client and sales experiences.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Knowledge of client onboarding procedures including KYC and OFAC requirements.
- Experience working with CRM systems.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong client and internal stakeholder interaction abilities.
Education
Bachelor’s or University degree, or equivalent experience.
