The Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst is an intermediate-level role responsible for providing management with insights and analysis related to Citi’s financial performance. The role works closely with the broader Finance team to prepare reports and evaluate how actual performance aligns with forecasts.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the estimation of risk capital and integrate results into management reports and decision-making processes.
- Assist in analyzing the financial performance of Citi and its competitors.
- Contribute to annual planning and periodic forecasting processes, including reviewing results against plans on a monthly basis.
- Participate in the annual budgeting cycle and monthly estimate processes.
- Use financial metrics to support the evaluation of proposed business decisions.
- Analyze management review presentations for different regions and product groups.
- Take part in time-sensitive activities supporting client-facing Financial Planning and Analysis teams.
- Assess risk when making business decisions while ensuring compliance with regulations, policies, and ethical standards, and escalate control issues when required.
Skills and Experience
- 0 to 2 years of experience in accounting or finance.
- Familiarity with financial analysis, reporting tools, and related methodologies.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to analyze financial information and interpret results.
- Clear written and verbal communication abilities.
