Role Overview

The Securities & Derivative Analyst 1 is an entry level position responsible for processing orders and transactions received from trading desks and branch offices in coordination with the Operations - Transaction Services team. The role supports the clearance, settlement, and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions.

Responsibilities

• Verify trades to ensure booking requests are accurate and complete.
• Create and reconcile trade confirmations in line with International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) templates.
• Carry out settlement activities and daily rate revaluations within required timelines.
• Work with relevant departments to resolve transaction processing issues and ensure smooth operations.
• Perform regulatory controls, account reconciliations, and record retention tasks in accordance with established policies.
• Prepare and submit internal and external regulatory reports as required.
• Participate in periodic General Ledger (GL) proofing exercises.
• Assess risks while making business decisions and ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and company policies, while escalating control issues transparently when needed.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience is preferred.
• Basic understanding of treasury products, accounting principles, and regulatory policies.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent activities or projects in a high risk environment.
• Working knowledge of macros.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills.
