Team Overview
The engineering team works on next generation software innovations across cloud, mobile, desktop, and security domains. Engineers develop applications that make technology accessible across many types of devices and platforms. Responsibilities include designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging software for enhancements and new products. Engineers also create software and tools that support infrastructure, operating systems, compilers, routers, networks, utilities, databases, and internet technologies. Work may involve determining hardware compatibility and contributing to hardware design decisions.
Software Engineer - Networking Protocols
- Understanding of computer science fundamentals and software engineering principles.
- Knowledge of TCP/IP networking, routing, and switching concepts.
- Familiarity with routers, switches, and network debugging tools is beneficial.
- Exposure to security technologies such as Firewall, IPS/IDS, VPN, IPsec, TLS, and inspection techniques is an advantage.
- Strong programming and scripting knowledge, particularly Python, with focus on optimization and performance.
- Experience with at least one development environment and familiarity with multiple environments.
- Strong focus on testing to ensure programs are reliable across different use cases.
Software Engineer - Application Software
- Solid grounding in computer science fundamentals and software engineering concepts.
- Understanding of TCP/IP networking and routing and switching principles.
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages such as Python.
- Knowledge of object oriented design and programming practices.
- Ability to consider application scalability, including cloud based environments.
- Interest in open source technologies and mobile application development is helpful.
- Exposure to debugging tools and development environments.
- Interest in user interface and user experience development.
Software Engineer - Embedded and Systems Development
- Strong foundation in computer science and software engineering fundamentals.
- Programming experience with languages such as Python.
- Exposure to kernel programming, user space, and system space concepts.
- Understanding of operating systems, with exposure to device drivers or BSPs considered a plus.
- Knowledge of system level debugging techniques and related tools.
- Strong system programming abilities and debugging skills.
Candidate Profile
- Graduating in 2026.
- Strong fundamentals in computer science and software engineering.
- Knowledge of programming and scripting languages.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and debug complex issues.
- Capability to collaborate effectively with extended engineering teams.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
