Meet the Team
The Cisco IT team supports Cisco’s business units by managing and optimizing critical developer tools, platforms, and production environments. The Developer Tools group focuses on enabling smooth development and deployment processes so business teams can deliver results without disruption. The Service Management team continuously monitors production systems to maintain availability and responsiveness.
The organization also manages Cisco’s Asset Management services, delivering insights into hardware and software lifecycle data. These insights assist customers in operational decisions and network reliability while supporting Cisco’s renewal business through accurate install base reporting.
The Install Base Operations team provides a globally consistent and scalable entitlement renewal process, emphasizing accuracy and timely lifecycle management. Through workflow automation and the use of data science and AI/ML technologies, the team improves renewal readiness and allows renewal managers to focus on strategic customer engagement.
Together, these teams work to drive innovation, operational excellence, and customer success across Cisco’s IT ecosystem.
Your Impact
- Develop skills to design, build, and write tools that improve the reliability, availability, and scalability of critical systems and services.
- Gain experience automating deployments, monitoring environments, analyzing performance, and optimizing products and services across network platforms.
- Support engineering environments used for automated testing of actively used code while maintaining a zero downtime mindset.
- Bridge development and operations by applying software engineering practices to system administration and infrastructure management.
- Adopt Site Reliability Engineering principles including automation, monitoring, risk management, and reduction of manual operational work.
- Learn change management practices and deployment processes that enable dependable service delivery.
- Build knowledge in incident response, service level objectives (SLOs), and performance monitoring to maintain high service reliability.
- Work with AI driven network orchestration platforms such as Catalyst Center that align with SRE practices to simplify IT operations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in BCA, B.Tech, BE, or a related field.
- Graduated in 2025 or 2026 and must possess a Provisional Degree Certificate.
- Available for a 12 month apprenticeship starting in September 2026.
- Basic familiarity with MS Office tools.
- Registered as a student on the NATS portal with a valid enrollment number.
