Cisco is looking for a Platform Engineer to support and improve its enterprise data platform. The position focuses on daily Snowflake platform operations such as user support, access management, monitoring workloads and performance, tracking costs, assisting with data pipelines, and optimizing queries and warehouses.
The engineer helps maintain platform reliability and efficiency while ensuring a smooth user experience for a wide range of stakeholders.
This role contributes to evaluating, testing, and deploying new platform capabilities. The engineer will work alongside senior team members to implement solutions that are scalable, secure, and cost‑efficient.
Responsibilities also include supporting best practices for platform usage and helping the organization improve overall platform maturity.
An important aspect of the role is familiarity with Generative AI concepts and tools, along with interest in applying them to build automation agents for platform operations.
