Job Description
Calix is seeking motivated and curious Graduate Trainees to join our team in Bangalore, India. This 1-year internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in cloud operations, platform engineering, and development. As a Graduate Trainee, you will contribute to the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of production infrastructure while working with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support for production incidents on GCP and AWS infrastructure.
- Ensure infrastructure observability by enabling comprehensive visibility into system health, resource utilization, and availability.
- Perform infrastructure and application deployments in alignment with established change management processes.
- Schedule, manage, and troubleshoot batch jobs across platforms.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including Cloud Operations, Platform Engineering, and Development.
- Participate in 24/7 rotational shift support as needed.
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in:
- Computer Science

Required Technical Skills
GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, Containerd, Docker, Terraform, ArgoCD, ELK, Grafana, Prometheus, Cloud Metrics, Python, Golang, CI/CD, Infrastructure Monitoring, Batch Job Scheduling, Observability, Change Management Processes
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Familiarity with infrastructure platform development and CI/CD pipelines in cloud environments (GCP preferred).
- Working knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools.
- Strong programming ability in Python or Golang (or similar languages).
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced technical environment.
