Job Overview

The Test Engineer will design, develop, and execute testing strategies that validate software functionality, performance, and user experience. The role involves working with cross functional teams to detect defects early and improve testing practices that support reliable software delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed test plans and strategies to verify software functionality and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Create and execute automated test scripts using testing frameworks and tools to identify defects and quality issues early in the development cycle.
• Work with cross functional teams to review requirements, participate in design discussions, and contribute to defining acceptance criteria.
• Perform root cause analysis for detected defects and collaborate with developers to support issue resolution.
• Participate in code reviews and collaborate with peers to promote strong coding practices and knowledge sharing.
• Stay updated with emerging technologies and contribute to internal technology communities that support continuous improvement and innovation.

Technical Requirements

Essential Skills

• Design, develop, and maintain automation test cases using Java.
• Perform manual testing to validate both functional and non functional requirements.
• Work with automation frameworks such as Cucumber, REST Assured, and related tools.
• Create test cases, test scenarios, and test data based on business requirements and system design.
• Participate in test planning, estimation, and strategy discussions.
• Execute testing cycles, log defects, monitor progress, and assist with defect resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and stakeholders to ensure high quality releases.

Good to Have

• Strong understanding of writing and maintaining effective test cases.
• Hands on exposure to both automation and manual testing approaches.
• Knowledge of component testing, BDD, and API testing frameworks such as Cucumber and REST Assured.
• Ability to manage test modules independently from design to execution.
• Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile development practices.
• Awareness of AI, LLM, or generative technologies.
