Job Description

Purpose of the role

The role focuses on designing, developing, and enhancing software using modern engineering practices. The work supports business, platform, and technology capabilities used by customers and colleagues across the organization.

Accountabilities

• Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry standard programming languages, frameworks, and tools, ensuring code is scalable, maintainable, and performance optimized.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to define requirements, plan solution strategies, and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Participate in peer collaboration, contribute to code reviews, and support a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing.
• Stay informed about emerging technology trends and contribute to internal technology communities to support technical growth and innovation.
• Follow secure coding practices to reduce vulnerabilities, safeguard sensitive data, and maintain secure software solutions.
• Implement effective unit testing approaches to maintain code quality, readability, and reliability.

Technical Skills

Experience in the following areas is expected:

• Core Java
• REST API development and automation
• Selenium with BDD (Cucumber)
• CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Maven

Additional skills that are considered valuable include:

• Java with Playwright
• AWS testing
• Mobile automation
