Job Description
Purpose of the Role
The role focuses on designing, developing, and executing testing strategies to validate software functionality, performance, and overall user experience. The position works closely with cross functional teams to detect defects, improve testing practices, and ensure dependable software quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement detailed test plans and testing strategies to verify software functionality and maintain quality standards.
- Create and run automated test scripts using suitable testing frameworks and tools to identify defects early in the development cycle.
- Work with cross functional teams to analyse requirements, participate in design discussions, and help define acceptance criteria for the software being tested.
- Conduct root cause analysis for defects and collaborate with developers by providing detailed information that supports issue resolution.
- Partner with peers, contribute to code reviews, and support a culture that values code quality and shared knowledge.
- Keep up to date with evolving technology trends and actively participate in internal technology communities that encourage technical improvement and learning.

- Complete assigned tasks on time while maintaining a consistently high standard of quality and continuous improvement.
- Apply technical knowledge and understanding of core concepts within the assigned area of expertise.
- Collaborate with related teams and business units to support operational goals and activities.
- Take responsibility for the outcomes of operational processes and activities carried out by the team.
- Escalate policy or procedure breaches when necessary and help implement updated policies introduced for risk mitigation.
- Support decision making within the area of expertise by providing informed input and guidance.
- Maintain awareness of how the team’s work connects with the wider organisational function, including products, services, and processes.
- Evaluate information carefully, resolve issues using established technical practices, and communicate complex information when required.
- Act as a contact point for stakeholders beyond the immediate team and develop professional relationships inside and outside the organisation.
