Job Description

The role supports the organisation in achieving strategic objectives by identifying business requirements and developing solutions that address operational problems and opportunities. The position focuses on analysing processes, identifying improvement areas, and helping implement technology and automation initiatives.

Purpose of the Role

Support business teams by identifying process gaps and translating operational needs into structured requirements and solutions. The role contributes to improving efficiency through automation opportunities and process optimisation.

Accountabilities

  • Identify and analyse business challenges and client requirements that require organisational change.
  • Develop and document business requirements to address operational problems and improvement opportunities.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to ensure proposed solutions meet business expectations.
  • Assist in preparing business cases that justify investment in proposed initiatives.
  • Conduct feasibility analysis to evaluate potential solutions.
  • Support preparation of project progress reports to ensure solutions are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Create operational and process designs aligned with agreed project scope.
  • Assist change management initiatives, including maintaining traceability matrices to support successful implementation.

Analyst Expectations

  • Provide specialist support and guidance to stakeholders and internal teams.
  • Perform assigned activities accurately and within defined timelines.
  • Take responsibility for specific processes within the team.
  • Coordinate tasks and resources within the team when required.
  • Manage personal workload and contribute to projects beyond the immediate team.
  • Execute work according to defined processes and collaborate with closely related teams.
  • Review work produced within the team to ensure it meets internal and stakeholder standards.
  • Offer specialist advice within the assigned area of work.
  • Take ownership of risk management and strengthen controls related to assigned responsibilities.
  • Develop a strong understanding of how teams contribute to broader organisational goals.
  • Apply judgement based on prior experience and evaluate options in situations not fully covered by procedures.
  • Communicate sensitive or complex information to customers and stakeholders when necessary.
  • Build and maintain relationships with stakeholders to identify and address business needs.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will convert operational insights into actionable improvements that support strategic decision making across the bank. The position involves contributing to strategy discussions, driving requirements, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring adherence to organisational policies and processes.

Key Activities

  • Capture and document existing processes using structured task capture methods.
  • Map process steps, system interactions, exceptions, and control points.
  • Identify automation opportunities including end to end or partial optimisation.
  • Quantify benefits such as efficiency improvements and capacity gains.
  • Translate process insights into clear automation use cases.
  • Support backlog creation and prioritisation of improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with requirements gathering, testing activities, and business approvals.
  • Track progress through tools such as Jira and Foundry and support governance processes.

Additional Skills

  • Strong capability in process mapping and process analysis.
  • Experience working with operational or HR related processes.
  • Analytical mindset focused on measurable results.
  • Exposure to automation platforms such as UiPath, Power Automate, or ServiceNow is desirable.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement or Lean practices is beneficial.
