Job Description

Purpose of the role

The role supports business teams with daily operational activities such as processing, reviewing, reporting, trading tasks, and resolving operational issues. The position focuses on maintaining efficient workflows and ensuring compliance with internal processes.

Accountabilities

• Assist different business units with daily operational tasks including processing, reporting, trade support, and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes.
• Identify opportunities to improve existing operational procedures and recommend enhancements.
• Develop and implement procedures and operational controls to reduce risk and maintain efficiency.
• Create reports and presentations on operational performance and share insights with internal stakeholders.
• Track industry trends and developments to adopt best practices in banking operations.
• Participate in projects and initiatives that aim to improve operational effectiveness.

Analyst Expectations

• Perform assigned activities on time while maintaining high quality standards and focusing on continuous improvement.
• Build strong technical understanding within the assigned area and apply underlying operational principles.
• Guide and support team members when leadership responsibilities are assigned, including work allocation and coordination.
• Develop technical expertise and act as a point of reference within the work area when required.
• Collaborate with related teams and partner with other business functions.
• Take responsibility for operational outcomes and escalate policy or procedural breaches appropriately.
• Support the implementation of new policies or procedures introduced for risk mitigation.
• Advise and influence decisions within the assigned area of expertise.
• Manage risk and strengthen operational controls while delivering work in line with relevant regulations and codes of conduct.
• Maintain awareness of how the sub-function integrates with the wider organization and its products, services, and processes.
• Evaluate information carefully, make informed judgments, and resolve operational issues using established practices.
• Communicate complex information effectively and build relationships with stakeholders both within and outside the team.
