Purpose of the Role

The role focuses on overseeing financial operations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial reporting within the organisation.

Accountabilities

• Prepare and present accurate, timely financial statements and accounting records in line with applicable accounting standards, rules, and regulations.
• Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks, and communicate risk insights to senior colleagues.
• Develop and maintain a strong internal control framework to safeguard assets, prevent misreporting, and ensure accuracy of financial information.
• Regularly review internal controls and address gaps or weaknesses where identified.
• Create and implement updated financial policies and procedures to maintain consistent financial practices across the organisation.
• Support the selection, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and applications, collaborating with IT teams to integrate them with enterprise platforms.
• Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports to relevant authorities and assist other departments with regulatory reporting requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and examinations.
