Purpose of the Role
The role focuses on managing financial operations within the organisation while ensuring accuracy, integrity, and reliability in financial reporting. The position supports the preparation of financial statements and the maintenance of strong financial controls.
Accountabilities
- Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements and accounting records in accordance with relevant accounting standards, rules, and regulations.
- Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks and report these risks to senior stakeholders.
- Maintain and strengthen internal control systems to safeguard assets, prevent misreporting, and ensure the reliability of financial data.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures that support consistent and effective financial practices across the organisation.
- Support the selection, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and applications, working with IT teams to integrate financial systems with enterprise platforms.
- Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports, and assist other departments in preparing and reviewing regulatory documentation.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory authorities during audits and examinations.

In this role, you will support the timely and accurate month-end close process related to compensation and benefits across business units. Responsibilities include bonus accounting for discretionary and share-based payments, accounting for post-retirement benefits and redundancy costs, and managing external disclosures in the annual report related to staff costs, share-based payments, and pensions.
Basic / Essential Qualifications
- MBA or a graduate degree with relevant work experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Experience working in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
