Job Description

Purpose of the role

Monitor customer accounts to identify suspicious or fraudulent activity and take the required action when such cases are detected.

Accountabilities

• Provide support for customer queries including credit card enquiries, account management, and case resolution connected to suspected fraud.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and law enforcement agencies during investigations related to potential fraud cases.
• Develop and implement fraud prevention strategies and procedures using appropriate detection tools and technologies.
• Assist teams within business operations such as risk management, compliance, and customer care when required.
• Identify trends and regulatory developments and ensure internal policies related to fraud detection and prevention remain aligned.
• Manage and develop KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of fraud prevention operations using data and technology to highlight improvement areas.
• Monitor financial transactions for suspicious patterns, conduct investigations, and report confirmed fraud incidents.

Key Skills Assessed

• Designing and building data pipelines to automate data movement and processing.
• Investigating and analysing data issues related to quality, lineage, controls, and authoritative data sources.
• Developing and managing KPIs to measure the effectiveness of fraud prevention operations using data-driven insights.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in SQL, SAS, Python, and data analytics reporting.
• Experience with data visualisation platforms such as Power BI or Tableau.
• Ability to interpret complex datasets and deliver insights for decision making.
