Purpose of the Role

Responsible for contributing to projects and initiatives that enhance the organisation's operations and strategic capabilities. The role involves coordinating with teams, tracking project delivery, and ensuring quality outcomes across change programmes.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the management of change projects, ensuring delivery within scope, timelines, budget, and quality expectations.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining project plans that define objectives, scope, timelines, and resource needs.
• Communicate project progress with stakeholders including senior management, internal teams, and external partners.
• Help coordinate project teams to ensure appropriate resources and expertise are available to meet objectives.
• Track project budgets and assist in ensuring delivery within approved financial limits.
• Create progress reports and updates to monitor delivery against agreed goals.
• Identify project risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies, and support mitigation actions when required.
• Contribute to change management activities such as training support and communication to ensure successful project adoption.

Role Overview

The position sits within Client Insights and Analytics (CIA), part of the Client Data and Engineering Group. The team focuses on delivering analytics derived from client data, including capital returns across Corporate and Investment Banking businesses.

CIA works closely with senior relationship managers, banking teams, markets distribution, and trading to understand institutional and corporate client needs while helping optimise shareholder value.

The role supports the calculation of client relationship returns within the investment bank. Analysts work with technology platforms and collaborate with teams across Corporate Bank, Payments, Barclaycard, Treasury, Finance, and IT to design and implement both strategic and tactical solutions.

The team also contributes insights and analysis to pan-Barclays initiatives, senior management presentations, and the Power of One Barclays programme.

Key Activities

• Support high priority cross-business initiatives across the Investment Bank, including reporting for strategic client segments such as Alternative Asset Managers and Global Treasury Coverage.
• Conduct ad-hoc analysis and deep dives for client initiatives by researching internal metrics, validating datasets, and identifying trends or inconsistencies.
• Assist in executing the Investment Banking Client Data Strategy and help roll out curated data products on strategic data platforms.
• Perform analysis, validation, and testing to ensure the quality, consistency, and usability of internal and external client data.
• Prepare structured presentation materials and spreadsheets that summarise findings for business stakeholders.
• Work with technology, data, and business teams to deliver enhancements and resolve issues when they arise.

Preferred Skills

• Ability to work confidently with datasets and convert analysis into clear insights.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Experience creating structured outputs using Excel and PowerPoint.
• Familiarity with analytics tools, reporting platforms, or CRM systems such as Analytics One or Eagle One is beneficial.
• Comfort working in a fast-moving environment and raising risks or issues when necessary.
• Proactive mindset with the ability to gather information independently and initiate analysis.
