Job Description

Purpose of the role

Manage the organisation’s financial operations while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial reporting.

Accountabilities

• Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements and accounting records in line with applicable accounting standards, rules, and regulations.
• Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks, and report findings to senior stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain strong internal control frameworks to safeguard assets, prevent fraudulent misreporting, and maintain accurate financial data. Regularly review the effectiveness of these controls and address any weaknesses.
• Create and implement updated financial policies and procedures to support consistent financial practices across the organisation.
• Manage the selection, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and applications, collaborating with IT teams to integrate finance tools with enterprise systems.
• Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports to relevant authorities and support other departments with regulatory reporting reviews.
• Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and examinations.
