Job Description
Purpose of the role
Manage the organisation’s financial operations while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and reliability of financial reporting.
Accountabilities
- Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial statements and accounting records in line with applicable accounting standards, rules, and regulations.
- Assist in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks, and report findings to senior stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain strong internal control frameworks to safeguard assets, prevent fraudulent misreporting, and maintain accurate financial data. Regularly review the effectiveness of these controls and address any weaknesses.
- Create and implement updated financial policies and procedures to support consistent financial practices across the organisation.
- Manage the selection, implementation, and maintenance of financial systems and applications, collaborating with IT teams to integrate finance tools with enterprise systems.
- Prepare and submit statutory and regulatory reports to relevant authorities and support other departments with regulatory reporting reviews.
- Coordinate with external auditors and regulatory bodies during audits and examinations.

- Provide consultation on complex issues and advise people leaders to help resolve escalated matters.
- Identify opportunities to reduce risk and contribute to the development of new policies and procedures that strengthen governance and controls.
- Take responsibility for risk management and reinforce effective control practices within assigned work.
- Carry out work closely connected with other teams, requiring an understanding of how functions collaborate to achieve organisational goals.
- Work with business-aligned support areas to stay informed about business activity and strategic priorities.
- Perform detailed analysis using data from internal and external sources to address complex challenges.
- Communicate complex or sensitive information clearly to different audiences.
- Influence and engage stakeholders to drive successful outcomes.

In this role, you will support the preparation of financial statements and accounting records in accordance with relevant accounting standards. The position also involves contributing to improvements in financial processes and systems while supporting high standards in reporting and control.
Assessment for the role may include evaluation of critical capabilities such as risk and controls knowledge, change and transformation exposure, business understanding, strategic thinking, and familiarity with digital and technology practices.
Basic / Essential Qualifications
- Qualified Accountant, CA, CMA, or ACCA.
- Strong academic background with first class honours and at least a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
- Exposure to month-end or quarter-end reporting environments, control-focused roles, or finance automation related work.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capability.
Desirable Skills
- Ability to engage stakeholders and understand business requirements.
- Knowledge of accounting principles under IFRS.
- Strong interpersonal communication abilities.
