Job Description
The role focuses on developing Finance business capabilities across functional design, data management, end to end process design, controls, delivery, and functional testing. The position contributes to improving financial processes by supporting data modelling, governance, and implementation of efficient operational frameworks.
Purpose of the Role
Support the development of finance capabilities through key stages such as functional design, data management, end to end process mapping, control frameworks, delivery activities, and functional testing.
Accountabilities
- Functional Design: Apply best practice concepts and collaborate with line subject matter experts to perform options analysis and provide recommendations for decision making.
- Data Analysis, Modelling and Governance: Design conceptual data models supporting various stages of financial processes and ensure governance standards align with GDMS principles.
- End to End Process and Controls: Develop target processes, controls documentation, and operational runbooks while aligning them with organisational structures and service models.
- Delivery and Implementation Support: Maintain design and functional requirements through the development cycle and address RAIDS related to business processes and functional needs. Support project management for change initiatives with limited technology investment.
- Functional Testing: Prepare scripts and datasets to validate requirements before user testing cycles.

- Complete assigned activities on time while maintaining high quality standards and supporting continuous improvement.
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge within the assigned domain and maintain understanding of the core concepts in that area.
- Guide or support team members when required, allocate work tasks, and help coordinate team resources.
- Develop technical expertise and act as an advisor within the relevant work area when functioning as an individual contributor.
- Collaborate with other teams and business functions while maintaining responsibility for operational outcomes.
- Escalate policy or procedure breaches appropriately and help implement new policies introduced for risk mitigation.
- Influence decision making within the scope of expertise and support effective risk management and control practices.
- Build knowledge of how the sub function integrates with the broader organisation and its products, services, and processes.
- Analyse factual information carefully, make evaluative judgements, and identify solutions based on prior experience and established precedents.
- Communicate complex or sensitive information effectively and maintain stakeholder relationships beyond the immediate team.

Essential Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Hands on experience with Alteryx Designer and Alteryx Server, including tools such as Predictive, Parsing, and Transforms.
- Working knowledge of Python and SQL.
- Ability to combine and integrate data from multiple sources into a unified platform.
- Understanding of development testing processes and change management practices.
- Certifications in Alteryx or Python are considered beneficial.
- CFA, Master's in Finance, or Financial Engineering is an advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of financial products.
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Exposure to artificial intelligence or machine learning tools is beneficial.
- Ability to collaborate on projects and work independently when required.
