Banking Support Analyst Job at Citi (Mumbai) | ₹5-8 LPA

The Banking Support Analyst provides comprehensive support to the Banking team, assisting with various functions essential for informed decision-making and operational efficiency. This role contributes to information retrieval, analytics, and compliance tasks, supporting Investment Banking teams globally on a wide range of transactions, including capital raises and mergers and acquisitions. The objective is to ensure smooth operations and adherence to internal and external requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with data gathering and documentation for potential deals, following established procedures.
• Support senior team members in identifying potential conflicts of interest by compiling relevant information.
• Compile market data and create basic charts and graphs for presentations.
• Assist in preparing competitor analysis reports.
• Maintain databases of key contacts and client information under supervision.
• Organize and distribute market research reports to the banking team.
• Execute assigned tasks related to deals, business development, and product or coverage efforts.
• Collect, organize, and validate data from various sources to ensure accuracy and integrity for reporting and analysis.
• Create reports, presentations, and marketing materials for the Banking team.
• Maintain and update databases related to clients, transactions, market data, and other relevant information.
• Support due diligence and risk assessment by gathering and organizing information.
• Assist with deal-oriented and operational tasks, including documentation and project timeline management.
• Collaborate with team members to improve data management processes and streamline workflows.
• Assist with other operational tasks as needed.
• Assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, and safeguarding Citigroup's reputation and assets.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of relevant experience in banking, finance, or a related field.
• Proven ability to gather, organize, and analyze data effectively.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of financial markets and concepts, banking operations preferred.
• Commitment to maintaining data accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical standards.

Education

• Bachelor's or university degree or equivalent experience in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
