Overview
The Banking Support Analyst provides dependable support to the Banking team, ensuring efficient execution of various tasks. Working under the guidance of senior team members, the role involves assisting with data management, reporting, risk assessment, and compliance. The Analyst supports Investment Banking teams globally by offering foundational assistance for a wide range of transactions, including capital raises and mergers and acquisitions. The overall objective is to enhance team efficiency and effectiveness by contributing specialized expertise and support across multiple banking functions.
Responsibilities
- Team Support & Task Allocation: This role provides dedicated support to the Banking team. Specific duties, all performed under guidance, focus on efficient execution and may include:
- Assisting in the preparation of documentation for potential deals, ensuring adherence to established guidelines.
- Compiling and summarizing data related to client relationships and transaction history, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Assisting in the generation of pre-defined reports for market analysis, ensuring timely delivery.
- Supporting the development of presentation materials by formatting data and creating visuals.
- Assisting in the maintenance of databases related to key contacts and client information, ensuring data integrity.
- Contributing to the organization and distribution of market research reports, ensuring efficient dissemination of information.
- Assist in the collection, organization, and validation of data from various sources, ensuring data accuracy and integrity for reporting and analysis.
- Contribute to the creation of reports, presentations, and marketing materials for the Banking team, ensuring accuracy and consistency under close supervision.
- Assist in maintaining and updating databases related to clients, transactions, market data, and other relevant information.
- Support the team in conducting due diligence and preparing risk assessments by gathering and organizing documentation.
- Assist with deal-oriented and operational tasks, such as preparing documentation and managing project timelines.
- Collaborate with team members to improve data management processes and streamline workflows.
- Assist with other operational tasks as needed.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.
Qualifications
- 0-2 years of relevant experience in banking, finance, or a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to execute tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Proven ability to organize and manage data effectively.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with financial markets and concepts, banking operations preferred.
- Commitment to maintaining data accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical standards.
Education
- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
