About the Job
Red Hat’s Customer Experience & Engagement (CEE) team is seeking enthusiastic Associate Software Engineer Trainees to join the Business Intelligence (BI) team in Pune, India. This role involves coding, testing, and debugging features for internal tools and software products using Python or Golang, while collaborating closely with mentors and cross-functional teams in an open-source culture focused on quality, automation, and continuous learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Development: Implement new features, fix bugs, and write clean, maintainable code.
- Testing & Quality: Create unit and integration tests, contribute to automation, and ensure product quality.
- Collaboration: Work with mentors, senior engineers, QE, Product, Documentation teams, and open-source communities.
- Automation: Build and maintain automated test suites and CI/CD pipelines.
- Platform Infrastructure: Gain expertise in Kubernetes/OpenShift or Linux fundamentals (storage, networking, etc.).
- Learning: Explore new technologies such as AI/ML, containers, and cloud computing while embracing Red Hat's open-source approach.
Required Qualifications
- Recent graduate (2025 batch) with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, or AI/ML.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Golang, or JavaScript, with exposure to frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.
- Knowledge of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Familiarity with Linux, container technologies, and CI/CD practices.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies, code reviews, debugging tools, and observability tools.
- Red Hat certifications (RHCSA, RHCE, OpenShift) are an added advantage.
