The Unisys CIT Platform Engineering team designs, operates, and supports enterprise DevSecOps platforms that enable secure, compliant, and efficient software delivery across the organization. These platforms include CI/CD pipelines, security tools, onboarding workflows, and shared services used by multiple business units.

The Associate Platform Engineer (DevSecOps) role focuses on supporting platform operations, onboarding, automation, and security enablement. It is an entry level engineering role centered on operating and improving shared DevSecOps services rather than building application features.

Key Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of DevSecOps platforms across on premises and cloud environments.
• Assist with configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of CI/CD pipelines.
• Help integrate security tools such as SAST, SCA, DAST, code signing, and SBOM.
• Support onboarding of application teams to Platform Engineering managed environments.
• Contribute to automation, configuration management, and platform standardization.
• Monitor system health, logs, and alerts, escalate issues when required.
• Maintain platform documentation, runbooks, and onboarding guides.
• Collaborate with senior Platform Engineers and security teams.

Mindset and Skills

• Interest in learning platform operations and DevSecOps practices.
• Exposure to Azure, AWS, or hybrid cloud environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub.
• Academic projects, labs, or internships related to DevOps or infrastructure.
• Ability to follow defined processes and security standards.
• Capability to contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing.

Basic Qualifications

• BE or B.Tech degree with 0 to 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Basic understanding of Linux or Unix fundamentals.
• Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps concepts.
• Familiarity with Git or version control systems.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Exposure to scripting or automation using tools such as Python or Bash.
• Awareness of security practices within the software development lifecycle.
