Role Overview
As an Associate Content Engineer in the Global Content Operations team, you will play a vital role in collecting, curating, researching, and validating customer and market data that powers Flexera’s product portfolio and data platform. This position is ideal for detail-oriented and curious individuals who enjoy online research and working with complex datasets.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate and resolve content-related issues, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Research and collect data on software and hardware products from multiple sources.
- Curate and normalize data into Flexera’s Data Platform.
- Analyze trends and patterns in complex datasets.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive reference catalog with the latest IT market information.
- Collaborate with Support, Engineering, and Product Management teams to address data enrichment and defect resolution.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and update documentation in the Flexera Knowledge Base.
- Create tools and systems for better content service maintenance and monitoring.
Requirements
- 0–1.5 years of experience in IT or related fields.
- Understanding of IT Asset Management, software/hardware assemblies, and release management.
- Knowledge of software licensing, open source, and vulnerabilities.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, Power BI).
- Experience with SQL/Oracle Server and data normalization processes.
- Familiarity with SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, and cloud products.
- Strong online research and reading comprehension skills.
- Ability to manage and organize large datasets.
- Experience with ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, Salesforce, and JIRA.
- Knowledge of databases, APIs, scripting languages, and process automation is a plus.
