The Team

The Apprentice, Data Operations team works on various research reports and company documents to collect information and generate meaningful consensus from the collected data. This effort is coupled with real-time monitoring of global industry trade publications and websites or news aggregators. Different teams under Enterprise Data Organization include Fundamentals, Private Equity, Investment Management, Filings & Sourcing, Public Ownership, Hierarchy Management, Pricing Data (Derivative, Equity), and many more.

Our Apprenticeship Program

• The apprenticeship is a skill training program governed by The Apprenticeship Act, 1961 (India), where individuals have the chance to partner with our industry experts, with on-the-job experience focusing on high-impact work that allows you to apply and develop your skills. Networking, business insights, and tailored learning opportunities all support your growth and development.
• S&P Global is looking to hire young fresh graduates and postgraduates for a 12-month apprenticeship program.

Eligibility criteria for the Apprentice role

• Candidates must not be already registered on the NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) portal as apprentices.
• Candidates should not have an active UAN/PF account.

Responsibilities

• High-quality financial data collection, analysis, extraction, and entering data into work tools as per guideline specifications for the assigned vertical.
• Understand the working of the dataset, be aware of workflows, and have strong working knowledge of work tools.
• Deliver on predefined individual and team targets, including delivering outcomes with quality and excellence.
• Troubleshoot problems or issues and support the team in enhancing workflows or processes for the department.
• Respond timely to emails from coworkers and managers, be proactive, and demonstrate aptitude for new learnings.

What We're Looking For

• Fresh graduates with a commerce background (BBA/BMS/BCom), passing year 2026, or PGDM/MBA specializing in Finance, passing year 2026 and 2027.
• Candidates must be willing to work in rotational shifts based on business requirements (24x5 environment with rotational shifts, including night shifts).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
• Strong understanding of corporate finance and accountancy, including financial statements and annual reports.
• Adaptability to work across all time zones.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and interpretive skills.
