About the Role

Thomson Reuters is seeking an Analyst - Global Trade Content to join its team in Hyderabad. This role involves working with Harmonized System (HS) data, focusing on research, verification, data conversion, and quality assurance. The position covers trade content such as HS codes, duties and charges, prohibitions/restrictions, customs rulings, and other trade-related documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth research and analysis to interpret and update global trade regulations for various countries using official government sources.
  • Monitor assigned tariffs for changes and ensure timely updates in the system.
  • Convert regulatory updates into standardized formats compatible with internal software systems.
  • Respond to customer inquiries related to assigned tariffs with accurate and well-researched information.
  • Identify and establish reliable contacts and data sources for assigned countries.
  • Document processes, procedures, and work instructions in line with established guidelines.
  • Report system bugs and participate in testing new features.
  • Assist in project management tasks, including data collection, analysis, and report preparation.
  • Seek opportunities to expand regulatory data coverage for assigned tariffs.

Work Schedule

Shift Timings: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM IST
Hybrid model: Work from office 2-3 days per week (mandatory).

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Business, or related field.
  • Knowledge of Harmonized System (HS) and customs regulations.
  • Understanding of import and export operations.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
  • Analytical and interpretation skills.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on timely delivery.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
