American Express Gurugram Hiring Analyst - Data Science (Hybrid)

Job Description

The Data Science and Analytics team mainly works on International Customer Investment Optimization and Prospect Data Analytics. The team helps marketing and LFOs drive business by acting as trusted partners and advising on Return on Investment (ROI), investment utilization, revenue yield and key performance metrics. Stakeholders span the enterprise, including the CEO/CFO, Executive Committee, Enterprise Forecasting, Planning & Analysis, Investor Relations, Marketing, Risk and the BU CFO teams.

The team aims to change how data science drives sustainable, long-term growth for the enterprise. Working as early adopters of next-generation technology, the team rebuilds forecasting, tracking and analytical processes using the latest tools and sets the standard for advanced analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver forecasts and actuals for key Finance and Acquisition KPIs to give an early read for agile decisions.
• Support the American Express planning process with yearly and long-term forecasts for key metrics.
• Provide insights into welcome offers and incentive investments across international markets.
• Support LTV and finance profitability models and help optimize marketing investments.
• Deliver analytical studies with actionable insights while engaging with partners on their questions.
• Design and deliver high-quality business insight suites, scalable solutions and accurate scorecards on time.
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities, understand business processes and propose new solutions.
• Keep up with emerging technology to develop clean, well-executed concepts and coordinate with cross-functional teams on new solutions.
• Review the existing environment, identify opportunities and recommend alternative solutions to problems.
• Plan project deliverables, prioritize day-to-day tasks, create project documentation, and design and monitor business performance indicators.
• Handle ad-hoc requests for solution support without compromising quality or timeliness.
