Job Description

American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is a leading payment card issuer for businesses in the United States and several international markets. It supports business owners and companies with products and services that help them run and grow.

The GCS trainee apprentice will support GCS India Operations. The role includes structured training, collaboration, and the chance to experience the dynamic world of American Express.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day business operations supporting GCS India, assisting teams and leaders with customer deliverables and control activities to keep service delivery and the control environment running smoothly.
• Follow Company policies, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and American Express compliance standards in all operational processes.
• Carry out tasks in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and maintain process quality according to established guidelines, with consistency and accuracy.
• Work with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to support the smooth execution of assigned tasks, initiatives, and projects.
• Spot process improvement opportunities, identify gaps, and recommend changes that increase efficiency, improve the client and customer experience, and strengthen the control environment.
• Maintain high performance standards by ensuring effectiveness, efficiency, and quality in all deliverables.
• Provide operational support, including building and maintaining reports, dashboards, presentations, and status updates for ongoing activities.
