Apprentice - FTM
Airbus India is offering a 12 month apprenticeship opportunity for the role of Technical Services Engineer within the Fleet Technical Management team in Bangalore. The position is part of the IISBI department under Customer Services, supporting airline customers in operating Airbus fleets with strong focus on safety, reliability, and efficiency.
The program is expected to begin around July 2026 (flexible start date). During the apprenticeship, participants work within a global aviation environment and gain exposure to engineering, technical documentation, and fleet support activities.
Your Mission
- Assist with the collection and notification of Airbus publications such as SB, VSB, TFU, AOT, and OIT.
- Support activities related to the overall Technical Publication Management process.
- Help with ARC and CMR documentation preparation and process standardization.
- Prepare Reliability Control Program reports through consolidation, cleanup, and validation of data from Maintenance Information Systems, aircraft service records, and shop findings.
- Consolidate data to support investigations related to pilot reports, maintenance reports, recurring defects, aircraft delays, cancellations, and operational events such as IFSD or ATB.
- Assist in defining and maintaining aircraft model configuration and customer aircraft configuration data using systems such as AMASIS or AMOS.
- Support preparation of technical packages including engine or landing gear change documentation, engine oil consumption reports, structure damage summaries, and dent and buckle mapping.
- Contribute to developing and implementing improved processes, methods, and tools to enhance operational efficiency.
Learning Outcomes
With support from a dedicated tutor, apprentices will identify professional goals and build practical skills in fleet technical management. The program offers exposure to airline style engineering operations with focus on technical publications review, fleet and component reliability analysis, and aircraft configuration management.
