Job Description

An apprenticeship opportunity titled Advanced Engineering & System Studies is available at Airbus India in Bengaluru. The selected candidate will join the Advanced Engineering & System Studies department, which focuses on Health Engineering and predictive maintenance.

This program is planned for approximately 12 months and is expected to begin in July 2026 (dates may be flexible). The role may require eligibility for security clearance from recognized authorities.

Main Responsibilities

  • Design Support: Assist in the design, development, and improvement of aerospace components and systems with guidance from senior engineers.
  • Technical Analysis: Support engineering analysis and help troubleshoot technical challenges using data-driven approaches.
  • Tool Utilization: Learn and apply industry-standard engineering tools and methods for design, validation, and analysis.
  • R&D Participation: Contribute to technology maturation activities including concept generation, feasibility studies, and prototype development.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with interdisciplinary teams across R&D, design, manufacturing, and testing environments.
  • Agile Development: Assist in developing applications within a Simulation Development Environment using agile methodologies.
  • Documentation: Prepare technical documentation and reports and support internal presentations.
  • Market & Technology Research: Study emerging technologies and industry developments to support ongoing innovation in aerospace engineering.

During the apprenticeship, a tutor will guide you in defining professional goals and building technical capabilities.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Fresh graduate (undergraduate or postgraduate) in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation and Control.
  • No prior full-time professional experience. Academic projects and internships are acceptable.
  • Ability to commit to the full 12-month apprenticeship duration.

Technical Competencies

  • Basic knowledge of the aerospace domain.
  • Experience in simulation and modelling of behavioural or physical systems (for example using Matlab or Simulink).
  • Programming exposure in languages such as C, C++, Matlab, Java, C#, or Python.
  • Fluent English communication.
