Apprentice - Digital Infrastructure & Platforms
Airbus India is offering a 12-month apprenticeship within the Digital Infrastructure & Platforms department in Bangalore, expected to begin in July 2026 (date flexible). The program provides an opportunity to work with enterprise-scale digital systems and gain practical experience in a global aerospace environment.
The role focuses on supporting digital transformation initiatives by helping implement solutions that enable the data value chain across Airbus. These solutions support optimization of business processes and the creation of new value through data-driven capabilities.
The selected apprentice will collaborate with technical leads and product owners to understand business requirements and convert them into effective IT solutions. The position also involves supporting and maintaining infrastructure platforms and applications that are scalable, secure, and highly available.
Program Overview
- 12-month apprenticeship program starting around July 2026
- Hands-on exposure to digital infrastructure and enterprise technology

Key Responsibilities
- Work with leads and product owners to analyze business requirements and convert them into technical solutions
- Support and maintain infrastructure platforms and applications with high availability and security
- Perform root cause analysis for incidents and identify trends for proactive improvements
- Provide L2 and L3 level support and ensure accessibility of systems
- Document technical knowledge and create knowledge base articles
- Track and manage issues until resolution within agreed timelines
- Escalate unresolved issues following defined procedures
- Assist customers and stakeholders with troubleshooting steps until issues are resolved
- Contribute to quality assurance practices, testing activities, and development of fixes
Technical Skills
- Hands-on exposure to Java, .NET, Python, or scripting languages
- Understanding of incident, problem, change, and knowledge management processes
- Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation
- Familiarity with APIs and system integrations
- Experience or understanding of Linux or Unix environments
- Knowledge of debugging CI/CD pipelines and resolving build or deployment issues
- Exposure to infrastructure platforms or application support tools
Success Metrics
- Learning progress and certifications completed during the program
- Development of platform knowledge and hands-on technical skills
- Ownership and completion of assigned mini projects
- Effective collaboration and communication within the team
- Ability to resolve issues independently within expected timelines
