Job Description

Airbus is offering a Software/System Engineer apprenticeship within the Digital Infrastructure & Platforms department in Bangalore. This 12 month program is expected to begin in July 2026 and provides an opportunity to work with enterprise scale aerospace technology while contributing to digital initiatives across the organization.

The role supports Airbus' digital transformation by helping implement solutions that enable the data value chain across the company. These solutions help optimize internal processes and support the creation of new business value through data.

You will collaborate with leads and product owners to analyze business needs and translate them into effective IT solutions. The position also involves maintaining infrastructure platforms and applications that are highly available, scalable, secure, and well monitored.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with leads and product owners to assess business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
• Maintain infrastructure platforms and applications across secure and scalable environments.
• Perform root cause analysis for incidents and conduct trend analysis for proactive improvement.
• Provide L2 and L3 support and ensure accessibility and reliability of services.
• Track incidents through resolution within defined timelines and follow escalation procedures when required.
• Document technical knowledge and maintain knowledge base articles.
• Use tools such as ServiceNow to manage issues and service requests.
• Standardize quality assurance procedures for software engineering, oversee testing activities, and implement fixes.
• Provide timely feedback to stakeholders and manage multiple open issues simultaneously.
• Assist customers by guiding them through steps required to resolve technical problems.

Technical Environment

• Hands on exposure to programming languages such as Java, .NET, Python, and scripting technologies.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows is beneficial.
• Exposure to API integrations and service based architectures.
• Experience or familiarity with Linux or Unix environments.
• Knowledge of incident, problem, change, and knowledge management practices is advantageous.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot build failures, deployment issues, or pipeline misconfigurations.
