Job Description
Airbus is offering a 12 month apprenticeship opportunity within the Digital Infrastructure & Platforms department in Bangalore. The program is expected to begin in July 2026 (date may be flexible) and provides exposure to enterprise level aerospace technology and digital platforms.
The role focuses on supporting Airbus digital transformation initiatives. This includes enabling the data value chain, improving business processes through technology, and contributing to solutions that help extract value from organizational data.
Role Overview
The apprentice will work with leads and product owners to understand business requirements and translate them into effective IT solutions. The position also involves maintaining infrastructure platforms and applications through highly available, scalable, secure, and monitored systems.
Essential Skills
- Hands-on exposure to Java, .NET, scripting, or Python
- Basic understanding of incident, problem, change, and knowledge management processes
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipeline design or implementation is beneficial
- Understanding of APIs and system integrations
- Exposure to Linux or Unix environments
Additional Knowledge
- Awareness of tools or platforms used to support digital infrastructure and enterprise applications
- Ability to troubleshoot and debug CI/CD pipelines, identify build failures, configuration issues, or deployment problems across environments
- Understanding of infrastructure platforms or application environments
Responsibilities
- Perform root cause analysis for incidents and conduct trend analysis to prevent recurring issues
- Prepare reports using Airbus defined templates with complete and accurate details
- Provide accessibility analysis, RCA, and L2 or L3 support where required
- Work with the ServiceNow tool to manage incidents and service requests
- Take ownership of customer issues and ensure they are resolved end to end
- Escalate unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams following standard procedures
- Track issues through to closure within agreed timelines
- Guide clients through troubleshooting steps until resolution
- Provide timely and accurate feedback to users
- Manage multiple open issues and priorities simultaneously
- Document technical knowledge in knowledge base articles
- Support software quality assurance processes, testing activities, and fixes
