Job Description
Airbus is offering an apprenticeship opportunity for the role of Industrialisation Engineer at its Bengaluru location. The position is part of the Industrialisation department responsible for manufacturing engineering activities. This program is expected to run for about 12 months starting in July 2026, with some flexibility in the start date.
The apprenticeship provides exposure to digital technologies and industrial engineering practices within a global aerospace organization. Participants will work with engineering teams involved in manufacturing and industrial system development.
Key Responsibilities
- Create 3D digital mock-ups of industrial plants and prepare supporting methodology documentation and best practices for industrial teams, from concept design through the final industrial system. Support the definition, development, and deployment of industrial systems and digital twin capabilities.
- Support manufacturing engineering activities related to the industrialisation of aerostructures with suppliers across India.
- Develop a data product that helps manufacturing engineers map raw supplier data to standard OPC UA information models, validate the data product, and provide user access interfaces.
- Work with digital manufacturing tools and techniques on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform for activities such as producing routing, preparing As-Prepared BoM, ISOI updates, work order updates, build process definition, M-BOM preparation, and creating work instructions.
- Program robotic systems and perform troubleshooting while supporting virtual commissioning activities across Airbus plants. Document robotic application development and modifications.
Learning Opportunities
During the apprenticeship, participants gain practical exposure to aircraft manufacturing processes and industrial systems simulation. The program also introduces industrial data acquisition and management, aerospace supplier collaboration, industrial automation, and digital shop floor management.
Each apprentice is guided by a tutor who supports professional development, helps define career objectives, and assists in building technical skills throughout the program.
