Job Description
Role: Developer - Full Stack (React, Python, AWS)
The Aircraft Delivery PSL brings together digital products supporting several business activities within Airbus. These products assist with the completion and delivery of commercial aircraft across delivery centers, flight lines, and program sites.
- Support completion and delivery processes for commercial aircraft across all delivery centers and programs.
- Provide tools used to communicate with customers during aircraft delivery, including invitations, plant visit orientation, technical status updates, rework requests, and planning schedules.
- Enable monitoring of aircraft progress from end of manufacturing to final delivery through prioritization, live technical status tracking, escalation of critical items, and team allocation.
- Assist with test preparation and execution on production aircraft, including activities such as noise detection, flight scheduling, and flight preparation.
Context
As a Full Stack Developer with a strong focus on frontend development, you will contribute to the Aircraft Delivery PSL initiatives at Airbus. The role focuses on building scalable applications while supporting the organization’s digital transformation and software development practices. Work takes place in an agile environment with strong collaboration across teams.
Role Expectations
As part of the System and Platform team, you will help build common services and applications that support multiple business products within the PSL. You will also assist in operating specific IT solutions and support the delivery and deployment of products under the direction of the Product Manager and Tech Lead.
Over time, the role expands to include improving the reliability, efficiency, and availability of IT solutions. You will follow established engineering standards, best practices, and development policies while growing your technical capabilities within the team.
Competencies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience in web application development, preferably with React.
- Understanding of the full software development lifecycle.
- Experience designing and implementing APIs and RESTful web services.
- Familiarity with test automation and test driven development practices.
- Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum, SAFe, or Kanban.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, with preference for AWS.
- Experience collaborating with distributed teams is beneficial.
- Knowledge of aircraft systems is considered an advantage.
Mandatory Skills
- Strong frontend expertise with React.js, including components, hooks, state management, and lifecycle methods.
- Experience with GraphQL, TypeScript, Node ecosystem, and NPM dependency management.
- Backend development using Python frameworks such as FastAPI or Flask.
- Experience with GraphQL implementations such as Strawberry or Graphene.
- DevOps exposure including GitHub or GitLab, Jenkins, and quality tools like SonarQube or CheckmarxOne.
Good to Have Skills
- Understanding of AWS services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, and IAM for building scalable cloud solutions.
- Database experience with relational systems like MySQL and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, document, publish, support, and operate web applications.
- Deploy scalable and maintainable software solutions.
- Implement automated testing including unit, functional, security, load, and performance tests.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments across development, test, and production environments.
- Work collaboratively with developers and cross functional teams.
