Flight Simulation Training Device Maintenance and Support Internship

Internship Program: Flight Simulation Training Device Maintenance and Support

You will support a fleet of flight simulators and associated training devices, helping with fault rectification and preventive maintenance under the guidance of the Simulator Engineering Team Leader or Shift Supervisor. An internal basic training course on flight simulator maintenance is included during the internship.

Main Activities

• Assist in checking simulator technical and handover logs at the start of each shift, and help with fault finding and repairs under engineering supervision.
• Help carry out preventive maintenance on simulators and other training equipment, following written procedures and manufacturer recommendations.
• Assist with daily readiness checks on simulators and training equipment, following quality procedures and work instructions.
• Update logs and databases to record maintenance work and any parts used or replaced.
• Assist with specialist cleaning of simulators and other high value training equipment.
• Support training activities as directed by the Shift Supervisor.
• Follow and promote safe working practices.

Skills

• Ability to troubleshoot at system level
• Ability to use tools and test equipment
• Ability to work day and night in an 8 hour shift pattern

Specialization

Candidates should have a background in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or be Engineering graduates in Aerospace or Aeronautical Engineering.

Internship Duration: Six months.
