FTM Intern

This six-month internship is based in Bangalore. The intern will support engineering and technical functions for FTM (CAMO) activities, with deliverables set by the respective trade and department domain heads. The role carries no team or budget responsibility.

Main Activities

Data and Engineering Support

  • Collect and analyze data on delays and defects.
  • Review technical publications such as ADs, SBs and VSBs.
  • Coordinate with various FTM (CAMO) divisions for smooth induction and acceptance of major assemblies such as landing gear and engines.
  • Carry out basic data review and collection from component shop reports (SFR) and other miscellaneous projects.
  • Define and maintain customer aircraft configuration data in ERP and MIS.
  • Support ARC and CMR document preparation and standardize related processes.
  • Update structural damage and repair data in required reporting templates.
  • Manage WGR and perform data sanity checks.
  • Manage the Engineering Statistical Report (ESR).
  • Create and manage RCP reports for all FTM contracts.
  • Review and prepare the AMP and OMP.
  • Support trade engineers with day-to-day engineering functions.

Technical Records (FHS-TSP Central Site)

  • Check maintenance and operational documentation for completeness, including maintenance checks, work orders and technical logbooks.
  • Enter data continuously into the AFHS Maintenance Information System (MIS).
  • Keep records updated to a high standard in both documentation and MIS, in line with Continuing Airworthiness Management.
  • Provide technical support for aircraft induction, leasing, re-delivery and airworthiness reviews.
  • Compile and amend aircraft configuration control documents, including AD/SB/EO compliance files, back-to-birth files for engine, APU, propeller and landing gear LLPs, inspection report and structure files, and original delivery documents.
  • Prepare maintenance summary status reports and Last Done Next Due (LDND) tasks as per the approved AMP.
  • Contribute to Kardex configuration update activities.
  • Address quality findings on technical records and initiate actions with MRO, MOC-MCC and Technical Services teams to align documentation and MIS content.
  • Report safety-related and other FTM issues, and take part in finding resolutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain a high level of service with local teams that interface with the customer.

Maintenance Planning (FHS-TSP Central Site)

  • Remotely plan maintenance for customer aircraft fleets across several bases.
  • Coordinate closely with the TSP local team to ensure efficient planning and on-time performance of line or base maintenance.
  • Ensure maintenance activities comply with the customer's approved maintenance program.
  • Process customer work requirements.
  • Manage Long Term Planning and Base Maintenance work packages.
  • Maximize effective maintenance task interval accomplishment while meeting customer and airworthiness requirements.
  • Prepare and generate maintenance planning reports and status updates.
  • Monitor maintenance status and work modifications to meet all targets.
  • Safeguard the airworthiness and safety of the customer fleet through controlled, well-scheduled maintenance events.
  • Build maintenance packages with appropriate control and progress planning for on-time task compliance.
  • Ensure the Maintenance Information System meets the quality standard needed for fleet airworthiness.
  • Report safety-related and other FTM issues, and take part in finding resolutions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain a high level of service with local teams that interface with the customer.

Required Competences

  • Basic knowledge of PART M and PART 145.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Strong team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
