Job Description

As an Engineer in Equipment Model Management, you will be responsible for performing timely quality checks and integrating supplier-delivered and Airbus-created 3D equipment models. The role supports the design and installation offices in their activities and includes creating 3D equipment models when required.

The position focuses on validating CAD quality, integrating models into engineering systems, and assisting internal teams and suppliers with equipment modeling and related issues.

Key Responsibilities

• CAD Quality Validation and Integration
  • Validate the CAD quality of 3D equipment models using CATIA and Q-Checker.
  • Integrate 3D models into relevant engineering environments and tools such as 3DQM, 3DCOM, and PDMLinkCC.
  • Provide feedback to design teams and suppliers when CAD quality issues are identified to ensure improved future deliveries.
• Modeling of Airbus Specification Models
  • Create Airbus specification models on behalf of design offices.
  • Use inputs such as 2D drawings or defined requirements for the modeling process.
  • Perform invariant reservation when modeling is carried out by the design office.
• L3 Resolver Group for Model Management BOS
  • Resolve incidents related to model management, covering items below FIN-DS in the 3D product tree.
  • Follow up to ensure equipment flow within TDM and PLM tools is executed correctly.
• Support to Design Office, Installation Teams, and Suppliers
  • Assist design teams in verifying geometry and dimensions of equipment designs.
  • Help installation designers review and validate design interfaces.
  • Support suppliers with CAD quality issues or onboarding queries.
• Model Reuse
  • Enable the reuse of 3D equipment models across different programs.
