Apprenticeship: Business Efficiency & Innovation

Airbus India is offering a 12 month apprenticeship within the Maintenance and Retrofit Solutions department in Bangalore. The program is expected to begin around July or August 2026. Participants will contribute to initiatives focused on improving business efficiency through data analysis, innovation, and engineering solutions.

The team is responsible for delivering scheduled maintenance services, supporting retrofit solution packages that help maintain aircraft airworthiness and improve airline operations, and designing specialized tools and ground support equipment used by airlines and maintenance organizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Extract, clean, and analyze large datasets from multiple technical or numerical sources to detect trends, patterns, and anomalies that influence operational efficiency.
• Propose technical or IT based solutions to address identified business challenges and efficiency gaps.
• Engineer computer vision or geometric deep learning models for automated change detection between CAD assemblies, highlighting architectural differences through image analysis.
• Assist in creating schematics and layouts for electronic control units used in automated Ground Support Equipment.
• Analyze large datasets and build interactive dashboards that provide decision making insights to stakeholders.
• Support the development of predictive models and apply statistical analysis to optimize business processes.
• Develop multimodal AI models capable of converting 2D engineering drawings and technical illustrations into structured documentation using defined engineering rules.
• Support the integration of sensors and microcontrollers into mechanical systems and participate in assembly and functional testing of automated tool prototypes.
