Job Description

The Associate Systems Engineer is part of the IIDPPS organization in India and supports the SPDB platform and related products (Airbus Sovereign Physical Design Backbone). The position requires close collaboration with global Airbus teams and contributes to the development and evolution of the TDM application ecosystem using modern digital capabilities.

The role focuses on supporting application systems, contributing to system architecture, and assisting with the implementation of scalable solutions that support Airbus digital initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

• Work with team members to support important application systems and services.
• Ensure components of the technical architecture, including interface design, are properly integrated and documented.
• Assist with cloud implementations and migration strategies, preferably using AWS and related cloud technologies.
• Contribute to projects involving PLM and CAD platforms such as 3DEXPERIENCE 2022x, VPM 1.15 or above, ENOVIA V6, and CATIA V5/V6.
• Deliver technical support and maintain quality across all project phases.
• Collaborate with technical departments to validate new tools, applications, and technology solutions.
• Support DevOps initiatives and help implement methodologies for secure cloud-based environments.
• Promote best practices related to security, architecture design, connectors, and development processes.
• Follow Agile, Scrum, or SAFe development approaches when working with software teams.
• Work with database queries and assist with system integration tasks.
• Collaborate effectively in an international environment and maintain professional communication in English. Knowledge of French or German is considered beneficial.

Engineering and Development Activities

• Design, develop, test, document, publish, operate, and support web-based applications and services.
• Deploy highly available, scalable, maintainable, and monitored web applications.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable automated deployments across development, QA, and production environments.

Additional Responsibilities

• Facilitate problem solving between administrative and technical teams with different priorities.
• Help maintain stable and secure applications and infrastructure while supporting capacity planning and information security.
• Coordinate operational follow ups with business stakeholders to track progress and operational topics.
• Assist with onboarding new team members and contribute to recruitment activities when required.
• Support service delivery operations by developing procedures and recommending appropriate tools.
• Monitor service performance and timelines while preparing reports to identify potential risks or delays.
• Provide KPI and service reports to internal stakeholders and highlight possible issues.
• Recommend corrective actions when project or service delivery does not meet expectations.
• Improve processes in collaboration with stakeholders to enhance information flow and delivery efficiency.
• Investigate and address customer concerns related to project timelines or service quality.
