Apprentice - Digital Infrastructure & Platform

Airbus India is offering a 12‑month apprenticeship within the Digital Infrastructure & Platform department in Bangalore. The program is expected to begin around July 2026 and provides the opportunity to work with enterprise‑level digital platforms and aerospace technology while gaining practical experience in IT systems and software development.

The role focuses on supporting Airbus' digital transformation initiatives. This includes helping build and maintain solutions that enable the data value chain across the organization, improving business processes and enabling new digital capabilities.

Role Overview

As an Apprentice Software/System Engineer, you will collaborate with leads and product owners to understand business needs and translate them into effective IT solutions. The role involves supporting infrastructure platforms and applications that are scalable, secure, highly available, and well monitored.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze incidents and perform root cause analysis while identifying trends for preventive actions.
  • Maintain digital infrastructure platforms and applications with reliable and scalable systems.
  • Provide L2 and L3 support, including issue analysis and resolution.
  • Document technical information and contribute to internal knowledge base articles.
  • Track issues through resolution and follow standard escalation procedures when required.
  • Assist users or clients through troubleshooting steps until problems are resolved.
  • Provide timely updates and accurate feedback to stakeholders and customers.
  • Work with teams to standardize quality assurance procedures and support testing activities.
  • Manage multiple issues simultaneously while meeting agreed timelines.
  • Use internal tools and platforms, including ServiceNow, for issue tracking and support.

Technical Environment

  • Work with software development technologies including Java, .NET, Python, and scripting languages.
  • Support and troubleshoot CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
  • Assist with APIs, integrations, and infrastructure platform services.
  • Operate in Linux or Unix based environments while maintaining platform stability.

Learning and Program Outcomes

During the apprenticeship, participants will gain hands‑on exposure to Airbus digital platforms and operational processes. Success is measured through technical learning, certifications, hands‑on platform knowledge, collaboration with teams, ownership of small projects, and the ability to resolve issues independently.
