Apprentice - Digital Infrastructure & Platforms

Airbus India is offering a 12‑month apprenticeship within the Digital Infrastructure & Platforms department in Bangalore. The program is expected to begin in July 2026, subject to flexibility. This role provides an opportunity for fresh graduates to gain practical exposure to enterprise digital infrastructure and platform technologies in an aerospace environment.

The apprentice will work as a Software/System Engineer supporting Airbus digital transformation initiatives. These initiatives focus on implementing solutions that enable the data value chain across the organization and support business process optimization as well as new digital capabilities.

Role Overview

You will collaborate with product owners and technical leads to understand business requirements and translate them into IT solutions. The role also involves supporting infrastructure platforms and applications that are designed to be scalable, secure, highly available, and well monitored.

Eligibility Criteria

• Fresh graduate in a technical undergraduate or postgraduate program, preferably Computer Science.
• No prior full-time professional work experience. Internships and academic projects are acceptable.
• Ability to commit to the full 12‑month apprenticeship duration.

Key Skills and Competencies

• Hands-on exposure to programming languages such as Java, .NET, scripting languages, or Python.
• Basic understanding of incident, problem, change, and knowledge management processes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation concepts is beneficial.
• Understanding of APIs and system integrations.
• Exposure to Linux or Unix environments.
• Knowledge of debugging and troubleshooting build pipelines, deployment configurations, and infrastructure platforms.

Responsibilities

• Analyze incidents and perform root cause analysis, along with trend analysis for preventive improvements.
• Maintain documentation and report details using Airbus defined templates.
• Provide L2 and L3 support and assist in accessibility and root cause analysis activities.
• Work with ServiceNow and related support tools to track and manage issues.
• Take ownership of customer issues and follow them through to resolution within agreed timelines.
• Escalate unresolved problems to the appropriate internal teams following standard procedures.
• Communicate troubleshooting steps to clients and provide accurate feedback during the resolution process.
• Document technical knowledge and solutions in knowledge base articles.
• Support quality assurance activities, testing processes, and fixes within software engineering workflows.
