Job Description
Airbus India is offering an apprenticeship opportunity for an Associate Engineer in the Physical Design and Integration (PDI) department in Bangalore. The team supports system installation and cabin design activities across aircraft programs. This apprenticeship provides exposure to an international engineering environment focused on research, innovation, and digital engineering.
The program is expected to run for approximately 12 months and is planned to begin in July 2026 (date may vary). Apprentices will work with experienced engineers and collaborate with multiple teams across airframe, systems, and cabin domains.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage activities related to system installation work packages covering cabin design, mechanical systems, and electrical systems.
- Support work package or group leaders when required.
- Coordinate and collaborate with teams across airframe, systems, and cabin domains including industrialization, standardization, research, and environment integration.
Learning and Development
Throughout the apprenticeship, a dedicated tutor will help define professional goals and guide skill development. The program offers exposure to several engineering areas involved in aircraft design and integration.
- Mechanical System Installation (MSI)
- Electrical System Installation (ESI)
- Cabin design and DMU integration
- Configuration management
- Architecture studies and automation
Technical Knowledge Areas
- Understanding of aircraft industrialization principles and aircraft build processes.
- Knowledge of system installation concepts covering electrical and mechanical systems.
- Awareness of production management and manufacturing processes.
- Data analytics knowledge is considered beneficial.
- Basic scripting knowledge in VB or Python is an advantage.
- Exposure to modeling tools and CATIA V5, including DMU concepts, is beneficial.
